Dr. Bazley came to visit!
Dr. Bazley is a professor at Kutztown University and is the teacher of our students pen-pals. She came all the way from Pennsylvania to observe our class and bring our pen-pal's projects to our kids! She did a mini lesson helping the students create their own books. The projects she brought were great and the students will be bringing them home to keep.

Ms. Danielle's Class Post Office
Ms. Danielle's class post office is up and running!!
Students have been very intrigued with writing letters to their pen-pals at Kutztown University. Playing off the theme of writing letters, we thought it was a great idea to open a post office of our own in class! We brainstormed ideas of what we would need for the post office and took a trip to the village post office. The students built their post office during art time. They created envelopes, mailing stickers, and mailboxes. The project was a ton of fun and the students had a great time while learning about the mailing system and are enjoying writing each other lots and lots of letters!

My Aunties Visit Nondalton!!
On September 5th my two Aunties arrived in Nondalton for a visit and to bring the students BASF KIDS LAB. They were excited to meet and interact with the students and generously brought with them BASF KIDS LAB. The students were introduced to chemistry in a hands on lab. It was a ton of fun and a great experience for my aunties and the students!
